BTS: Problem Child Photo & Video Shoot

A.K.A. Dirty, Seedy Motel Room Debauchery.

If you need a place to stay in London’s East end…

As Iglesia Production’s official photographer for their upcoming show, George F. Walker’s Problem Child, it was both a delightful and disturbing adventure to shoot the promotional images for them recently.  The location?  The American Plaza Motel on Dundas St., a seedy motel in London’s East end.

John Iglesias and I met early in the morning to get the room rented for a few hours and we got quite the look from the desk clerk.  And we got even more looks when we started loading the room with camera equipement and people.  I’m sure they thought some sort of “Movie” was being filmed.  lol.  In actuality, there was, but not the kind they were thinking.  John had brought John Howlett and Brett Jansen (pronounced Britt, with a Kiwi accent) to shoot a video trailer for the show, a fresh and interesting new idea for theatre promotion, I think.  It was a great day and the cast and crew had a ton of laughs as the day went on.  I can’t wait to see the trailer, when in launches sometime in the beginning of May, and share the images of the shoot closer to the opening of the show.  For now, here are some behind the scenes shots on the day.
